Adventurer Family Camp

Adventurer Family Camp is designed to create in your young ones a sense of trust, love, and concern, as they and their parents participate in fun family activities, and learn outdoor skills.   Our prayer is to create in their hearts a love and desire to have Jesus as their personal friend.

  • Early Bird $35.00 | February 5th - March 6th, 2023

  • Regular $ 45.00  | March 7th - April 1st, 2023

  • Late Registration $55.00 | April 2nd - April 15th, 2023

  • Kids under 3 years of age are free

BAPTISM AT CAMP: 

There will be a baptism during AFC. However, there are some procedures to follow:

  1. Parents approval

  2. Proof of Baptismal Studies.

  3. An approval from the Local Pastor.

  4. Request from local Pastor to Pastor Ponciano at the Conference

  5. Register: Adventurer Baptism Registration Form     


BEST CAMPSITE-THEMED ENTRANCE:   
Description:
We will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes to the Best Campsite themed Entrance. The contest will be judged by selected Club directors from each area and the Conference youth leaders. Club participation is optional. To participate, decorate your campsite based on the camp theme.


Rules and Instructions:

  1. Judging will be done by selected club directors and Conference youth leaders

  2. Participation is optional and open to all clubs

  3. Your campsite must be left in its original state before you leave. Please remove all decorations.

  4. The contest is for exterior only. Judging will be done from outside the campsite only.

  5. Judging criteria will include [a] Relevance to the Camp Theme, [b] Originality and Creativity, [c] Continuity and Harmony, and [d] Impact (Overall Appearance).

  6. Judging will be done from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sabbath. 

  7. The judging form will be inside the registration package for clubs benefit. 

  8. Three prizes will be awarded: One 1st prize $150; one 2nd prize $100; one 3rd prize $75.

  9. Winners will be announced on Sunday morning during the closing ceremony. Winners need to be present to win and if not present, the prize will go to the next club in line.

  10. Be creative and have fun!   

                               

 

DIRECTORS NEED TO KNOW   Español

  • Check-In: begins Friday at 2:00 p.m. and will close at 10:00 p.m. Campers arriving after
    that time will not be allowed to enter regular camp area until Sabbath morning.

  • NO PETS, NO PETS, NO PETS! (No dogs, cats or otherwise) allowed in the camp. We cannot be responsible for any injuries related to pets. Please leave your pets at Home! Thank you. 

  • No personal ATV vehicles allowed at camp. This includes: Six, Four, and three wheelers, golf carts, etc.  ONLY Texas Conference rented golf carts for staff are allowed under our insurance policy.  If it is not a Texas Conference approved vehicle, then it is NOT allowed.

  • No bicycles are permitted at Family Camp.

  • Directors' meeting will be at 8:30-9:00 pm on Friday and at 9:30-10:00 pm on Saturday.

  • Bring generators for electricity -- (Observe Quiet Time:  Friday 10pm – 6am/Saturday 11pm – 6am). 

  • Campfires – MUST HAVE above-ground, self-contained fire pits with screen.  As of right now, the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office is allowing these fire pits if used for cooking food.   Please be aware that the overall burn ban will be reviewed by the county and could change by the time of camp.

  • Facilities: We now have built showers and restrooms. Porta potties will be placed around the campground too.

  • GPS Directions:  “Intersection of FM 2841 and CR 1606, Clifton, TX” See attached or website:  texasadventist.org for driving directions to Lake Whitney Ranch.  Physical address is 813 FM 2841, Clifton, TX, 76634.

  • Bring chairs – not enough chairs for every camper at the meeting tent. 

  • Bring plenty of containers for water -  Bring plenty of containers for water. Bring water containers to f􀏐ill water from the water
    tap and a rolling cart to carry the 􀏐filled containers.

Driving to Whitney Ranch

813 FM 2841 Clifton TX 76634

From Dallas or Fort Worth (I-35): 
Take TX-22 west towards Lake Whitney. Follow TX-22 about 25 miles across the Whitney Dam and turn right on FM-56. After about 1.7 miles turn right on FM-2841. The gates to the property will be about 1.8 miles down on the left.  

 

From Keene/Cleburne: 
Take TX-174 South from Cleburne about 22 miles then turn left on FM-56. 
After about 17.5 miles turn left on FM-2841. The gates to the property will be about 1.8 miles down on the left.  


From Houston: 
Take US 290W to Brenham. Continue onto TX 36N (loop around Brenham). Follow 36N to Caldwell. Stay on 36N/190W to Temple. Continue onto SW H K Dodgen Loop. Turn left at Airport Road. Merge onto TX 317 N via the ramp to Moody. Turn left at TX 6N/C Ave. Continue to follow TX 6N to Clifton. Turn left at FM 219W. Take right on Hwy 22, then left on 56. Go right on FM 2841. Lake Whitney Camp is about one mile on the left.
